WoW, it's October already, Crazy!

I just dropped the kids off at school and picked up their October newsletter. I was reading it and totally had a "my kids are in school, tear up moment" They have a field trip coming up to a pumpkin patch, that was the 1st thing that make me tear up LOL I am going to volunteer for that one :) I'll just have to do my grocery shopping the monday before :) Then at the end of the month they are having a little costume party and we can bring little treats and whatnot to share and they can dress up and they will have a little parade too. I am tearing up again... wow what is wrong with me? lol

Ryan and Emma were given a special mention in the October newsletter because they donated their old bikes to the preschool. I thought that was VERY cool!

My house is vibrating rather awful right now and it's driving me insane!!!!!!!! They are working on the road right infront of our place :( GRRRRRRR and I am supposed to get some sleep tonight as I have worked lastnight and have to go back in tonight.... not sure how this is going to happen?!? Oh well!

That is about it for us here these days. Nothing much else going on, I have to go hunt for halloween costumes right now so I'll catch ya all later!

It's the 6th year anniversary of 9/11. I will always remember what I was doing at that time. I remember waking up to get ready for work and turned on the tv. I saw the second airplane, I thought to myself... what movie is this?!?! Then realized it was real life. I just couldn't believe it!

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family memebers as well as the service men and women who continue to fight for us/me.

On a lighter note here are a couple of new items up at my OAKS shoppe.

Well, It's 10:46am and I havent been to sleep yet from working my 12 hrs lastnight. The kids had preschool today so I had to try and do something to keep my butt awake so I can go get them at 11:30. I knew that if I fell asleep the chance of me waking was slim lol and at 5.00 for every 5 min after 11:30 I can't really afford that :)

So, I took the kids to school and then headed for the gym. I am very proud of myself, I rode the bike for 30 min then pumped some iron for 30 min. Right now my arms are sooo tired they are shaking a bit lol. I think I might have worked out a little to much?!?! but I am feeling GREAT. Then I washed my car and now I am home with some time to spare so I am writting on this here little bloggy :)

Lastnight at work I got some information on health insurance.... for my family if I want a $500 deductible it's ONLY (cough cough) $930.00 a month. If I want the $5,000 deduc. It's ONLY (cough cough) 728.00. I just cannot believe it. It's a great deal if I had say... 20 kids because the price woudn't go up but for the 4 of us it's CRAZY! I just cannot believe it. I am a firm believer that anyone in health care should have free health insurance as well as their family members, due to the fact that we are exposed to SOOO many nasty things :( Health insurance just gets me heated :(

First day of Pre-School

First I am glad to say that I am DONE with that 10 days straight stuff.... man oh man that was a LONG 10 days! I worked hard and played even harder. It was nice to end that 10 days with 3 days at the beach!!! We went to Pacifica, CA and it was a blast! Took the kids on a train ride up into the mountains to see some 3000 year old Redwood trees, played on the sandy beaches and enjoyed our time together!

The kids had their 1st day of preschool today!! :) They enjoyed their time away I am sure of it. It wasn't hard on them at all, I thought that I'd get away easy myself but as I reached the gate I started to tear up :( My babies are growing up. Just to think that this time next year it will be Kindergarden... YIKES!

Man am I tired and I am really not feeling well at all. I am pulling 10 days straight at work because we are so understaffed it's not even funny :( Good thing is I'll have 27 hrs of OT on the check :)

Today is Ryan and Emma's pre school orientation, YIKES! My babies are growing up :( and on that note... I am NOT sure what to do anymore about Emma, since last friday when she got her well baby shots she has been next to impossible :( She WILL not eat unless it's crackers, she will drink milk and water but she will NOT eat anything :( She's already WAY skinny and I know that she's lost weight over this last weekend from not eating. We don't want her waisting away but I am fresh out of ideas :( I will be calling her Ped. today to see if she has any ideas for me to try.

It's my birthday in 2 days.... what are ya going to get me? lol ;) Rob is taking me and the kids to Pacifica, CA to stay in a hotel right on the beach.. WOOT WOOT I am sooo excited!!

I'm going to be having a sale at my OAKS shoppe starting tomorrow and ending on Sept 4th. I'll post more about it later :)

Well, A lot has been going on. Some good and some not so good, I'll let you deside ;) lol.

Ryan and Emma are home! Glad to have them back. Em came home a HUGE Grandpa's girl. Dad said that this was AWESOME therapy for mom, he said that she's never been so alive and happy. I am so happy that these 2 weeks with the kids did her so much good.

I got my membership to the gym like I wanted for my birthday (Aug 31st just incase any of you wanted to know) :)

Lastnight I had to take Ryan to urgent care, he has a NASTY ear infection. So nasty that they gave him a shot of meds right then and there as well as a perscription to get more. Poor boy!

I woke up to a very sad e-mail. I have been officially fired from my first digital scrapbook designing job. I am no longer allowed to sell at Elemental Scraps. My sales are and were not as good as the other designers there (interpretation....you suck) so the owner felt that I should no longer be selling there. I am sure I'll be happier and less stressed seeing as how that site seems to be always getting hacked, I won't have to worry about getting paid or not.

But HERE is a freebie for all of you that don't think that I suck. Hope you enjoy! Comments are always accepted ;) :)

Well, it's almost been 2 weeks since we took the kids to my parents house in WA. I am now missing them. I can't wait to see them again on sunday. Kiss their little faces and hug their little bodies. While they have been gone it's given me time to upgrade their room. Rob and I got them a new bed. A day bed with a trundle bed. It will be perfect for now and then God willing when we get a house and they have their own rooms Emma will take this bed and we will get Ryan a bunk bed.

I have also taken out their beat up dressers (Emma has done a good job in tearing them apart :( ) hung up all their clothes and socks and undies will go in a basket in their closet. I have also arranged their shelves and hopefully it will stay this way for at least a week LOL

Rob and I were able to go to my cousins wedding in Fallon, NV. It was a BEAUTIFUL wedding however I wish I had never gone. I went because I told my Grandmother that I would be there, my presents there meant nothing to anyone but her.

I saw aunts and uncles that I haven't seen in YEARS, like 16 years. I said HI to my Aunt Cathy and ALL I got was a look and a grunt. WTHeck is up with that?!?!? Then I walked infront of my Aunt Amy and she didn't even look at me. I couldn't believe it.

Rob and I sat next to my Grandmother and NONE of them came up but my Aunt Pat who is married to my mom's brother. She was the nicest one out of them all. I just could NOT believe it. I did get re-introduced to 2 of my other cousins Jennifer and Shannon 2 of amy's kids. That was nice but you could tell that they didn't really care. BUT anyhow... I just cannot believe that this family is soooo STUCK up. :(

Rob and I also got to enjoy a nice night out lastnight. We went to Reno to Bajio ( a mexican dining place) had some really good dinner and then spent some time at Hot August Nights at the Grand Sierra Resort looking at all the old cars. Beautiful!

I have enjoyed this time for just Rob and I. It's been really nice!!!

Anyhow....That's my update and here are some lo's that I have done in my free time :)

Weight Loss

The girls and I at work have decided to lose 15 lbs by Aug 31st My birthday. We are doing little by little! The winner will get $10 from each of the losers. We had a weigh in Sunday night at work and we will be having another one at the end of Aug.

I am going to watch what I eat and exercise. My long term goal is to lose a heck of a lot more than just 15 lbs but If I do it little by little and set small goals I hope to reach my long term goal of at least 80 lbs. It's rather sad though, I have gained weight since starting my CNA job 6 months ago... however I believe that it's muscle because I haven't changed sizes. But it's still sad to see the scale go up.

I am in a designing slump ever since some CRAP that went on at Elemental Scraps :( Hopefully I'll get out of this slump though. I can't even scrap :( sad I know! lol

Only 2 weeks till the kids go to my parents!! WAHOOOOOOO I am really at wits end with them. I DO NOT understand why they are so destructive. It's very upsetting. But anyhow that is all with me for now. I'll keep my weight loss updated as if anyone is really interested LOL

Well, since I cannot add photos right not because Blogger is being a stinker you will all have to go and check them out at my flicker site :)

This last weekend Rob's parents came up from LA to celebrate the kid's 4th birthday with us (yes I know that it's not until June 29th ;) ) So there are a TON of photos for you to check out, 85 to be exact :) Just be thankful I am not making you sit through all 124 that I took this weekend LOL

I cannot believe that our kids are going to be 4 years old. It has gone by so fast. There are 2 lo's that are about their birth 4 years ago so make sure you take a peek at those too :) They start preschool in September and then kindergarten the year after that, it's just crazy!

The end of next month they get to go to their Grandma and Pa Hall's house in Washington to spend 2 weeks with them, Over the 2 weeks they will be going to a Hall family reunion in Idaho where everyone will get to see them. Last Hall family reunion we were at was when they were 4 weeks old, this one they will be 4 years. Crazy! It should be really fun for them all!

Just another day in the life of a hard working mother, wife and CNA (or not). Some would say that I don't do enough, others say How do you do it all?

Well what is it?

I think that I do as much as I can and do it to the best of my ability. Yet when I think that I deserve 3 hrs out with 2 gals from work at the hot springs I get comments that leave me feeling bad for even thinking up the idea that I deserve to go anywhere for alone time. So, me being the person that I am (and I do suck) I will be at home and doing ALL the laundry in this place, this includes the clothes that my wonderful children decided to take out of their dressers and left on their bedroom floor for a week, yes I will most likely pick up the clothes and just wash all socks and undies, because I am not going to smell for the clean ones.

Then I will move on to dishes, dusting, cleaning the bathroom, the kitchen, make sure that the Britta is filled with water and there is enough Ice in the freezer for if there is not well, i'll hear about that too, and then vacuum.

After all of this, how come I get the feeling that it still wont be enough?

On top of all of that I have a UTI and my lower left side of my back is KILLING me. But I am a Mom and a Wife, so who cares?

I got an early b-day gift. Rob took me to best buy to get another 512mb of ram and he also got me a steal of a deal.... get ready for this.... a 200GB external hard drive. Reg. price of 150.00 got it for 70.00 AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

The kids b-day is coming up June 29th, we are going to celebrate it with Rob's parents who are coming up from the LA area on June 23rd, I was able to switch a day at work with another co-worker so that I can go to my kids b-day party lol how sad is that?!

Anyhow were thinking about getting them bikes, but now that we are really thinking about it I think that we will get them a new bed.

Nothing else to exciting going on here so that's it for now :)

Tonight is another work night.. BLAH, my 3 day weekends go by so darn fast I don't like it lol. I started using proactive a month ago today, I have to say that I am ok with the results thus far but I can't wait to see what my ugly mug looks like in another 2-4 weeks :)

GAAAHHHH I hear the kids fighting (again) we cannot go 30 min without a fight GRRRRRR Gotta run.

Well it's been almost a month since I have blogged sorry about that :)

I have added some tunes to the blog!

Nothing really new to blog about other than we are getting rid of the kids for 2 weeks at the end of July WAHOOOOOO just us time for Rob and I, It will be great for us as well as the kids. They will get to spend those 2 weeks with their Grandparents In WA. We are taking the 27-29th off of work to take them to WA and we will be leaving them with my parents. Mom and Dad will take them to the Hall Family Reunion in Aug and then on their journey back to WA they will bring the kids back home. It really is going to be nice.

Since the kids will be gone on Aug 4th, Rob and I will be able to attend my cousins wedding in Fallon, NV, I am really excited about that as well!

There will be some kind of open house for the kids new pre-school in Aug sometime, then in Sept Pre-School will start for them. It will be 3 days a week for 2.5 hrs a day. I am hoping that pre-school will be a GOOD thing for the kids. They need to meet some friends, have more learning time, I am hoping that it will help them in learning to listen better. They might just pull the "good" face with teachers and then unleash it all on their parents when they get home LOL :)

All of that work last week, and ALL for nothing. I sat down and figured out that I totally screwed myself by working all those hrs. How you ask?! well by the way the pay periods fall and the by the way the weeks are. Weeks are Friday-Thursday and the pay period 1-15 and then 16-end of the month... so for working 57.5 hrs only 6.5 of that falls into OT I will however have 105 hrs of regular time.

So I WILL NEVER be doing that again... i will stick with my 3 days a week and go with that.

Today is filled with catching up on the laundry that my dear hubby does and leaves for ME to hang and fold and put away (grrrrrr) and then doing more laundry, cleaning the kids room, cleaning the microwave, and well I think that is all I will do today :)

It's been almost a month since I have blogged. Well life is busy and even more so this week, I am working 57.5 hrs this week and I usually only put in 36hrs so I am TIRED. But...17.5 hrs of those are OT hrs so that will be nice come payday.

My little Ryan is just finishing up some medication for strep. I took him to the dentist this last Tuesday to get some teeth fixed... He's not even 4 years old and he had to have 4 fillings, WHAT is up with that?! We brush their teeth all the time, however now I am brushing their teeth after they have any kind of juice or a sucker or any kind of treat. Other than that he's still my little blanket sucking boy.

Little MISS Emma is 3.5 and going on 16 I swear!!! She's got attitude like I have never seen attitude, hope that changes at least a little as she gets older. She's totally a GIRL in every sense of the word. She's at the stage now where she will change her clothes 10 times a day, That I don't mind so much BUT she leaves the clothes all over the floor (reminds me of my mom getting after me for changing my clothes so many times in a day lol) and I am getting tired of doing so much laundry.

Rob's doing good, working and trying to find a balance between work and fun, as we all are :) We are coming up on our 5th wedding anniversary in just a little over a month, it's so crazy how fast time goes by, it really is amazing!

Other than that I sometimes amaze myself and often think.. HOW do I do it all?! Being a full time stay at home mom by day, a full time CNA by night, cook, clean, try and keep 3.5 year old twins busy, keep up with my digital scrap booking business and sleep somewhere in there and when I am just to tired to do anything else, why is it that I feel guilty? :) Must be the wife and mother in me?

My Grandmother just passed away yesterday and I'll be leaving on Thursday night to head to southern Idaho for the funeral on Friday. I'll be back on Saturday night. Just wanted to let ya all know... if you have some prayers and thoughts that would be great.

I was getting a little more scared about my hearing tomorrow, but now I am just plain PISSED OFF.... I take a look at the paperwork again lastnight and find that one one paper it says that the last appeal date is Jan 8,07 and then on the fax from Nevada State Bank it is dated for Jan 11, 07.

I thought, haha I am one up on them because that is 3 days after the final appeal date of Jan 8, 07 RIGHT?!

WELL NO, they have 3 business days AFTER the damn FINAL appeal date. WTF?!?!?!!? I am so pissed right now it's not even funny, really it's not funny!

What freaking laws are out there to PROTECT ME?!?!?!? NONE?!?!?! This is a bunch of BULLPOOP.

Anyways just had to vent.

WHEN in the HECK is anything EVER going to go good for us here in the Pitman house????

I am just sick about it all. No I am pissed about it. 8 months ago I was fired from my job at Nevada State Bank.... I applied for unemployment... They gave it to me....I drew it every week from June 12-December12 the whole 6 months that it took me to get another job.

This last Thursday I go and get the mail...what did I find? A big FAT envelope from the Nevada State unemployment appeals office. I have a hearing on wednesday feb 7th at 8am up in Reno.

WHY?

because Nevada State Bank (NSB) is trying to say that I am eligible to get unemployment....AFTER the fact. WHAT THE HECK is up with that? This is NOT fair... Unemployment took my side and then requested NSB's side within 48 hrs. NSB failed to respond...so that is when Unemployment decided to give me the benefits.

It is NOT my fault.... I can not dictate if I get the benefits or not, ONLY THEY (unemployment) can.

I find it VERY unfair that NSB can do this to me a month and a half AFTER I got my last check. IF the ref. sides with NSB then I'll have to either pay back the money (like I have that laying around) OR get myself a lawyer and appeal it. I am just sick about it all. I cannot believe that this is happening...

GET YOUR HANDS OUT OF OUR POCKETS...

I called my mom last night and she was hoping that I was the doctors. She called them yesterday morning to find out if they had any information for her and she was awaiting their call. So no news yet, she said that she would call me and let me know as soon as she knew. She did say that she has got a neurologist appointment today. So, I am hoping that it will be soon that they will have some information for us.

Well, my first night went well as did nights 2 and 3 :) Lastnight was my first night of caring for my own hall... that went better than I thought it was going to go. I was freaking myself out over it for no reason.

I should be sleeping right now but HA HA HA that is not going to happen right now, when the kids go down for nap then I'll get to sleep some more so that I can work tonight :)

Party! I am so thankful that it is over! Very proud of myself for getting it done and graduating. We started with 22 people and 9 of us were left for todays graduation! We rock ;)

I will now be working 3 on 4 off, 12 hr shifts and from 6pm-6:30am and doing IT ALL working full time and being a mommy full time! I know that it will be hard but where there is a WILL there is a WAY right?! ;)

We are going to make Cookies for Santa tomorrow and the kids are just getting tooo excited! As am I! I cannot wait to see their faces!

First day

Of clinical. It went great! Not to bad :) I am just THANKFUL that all the testing is OVER for now :) lol Until i get up to Reno at the College and take my test to become official.

Christmas is next week. How crazy!! Ryan and Emma are getting really excited for Santa to come. Our child care giver has been reading them Christmas stories and the other day Ryan starts to tell me the story and it was just to cute to hear his version of it. I just love it!

We are going to leave fudge, cookies and milk out for Santa and I think that the kids are going to get a KICK out of seeing it there before bed and then it all gone with a little note in the morning, LOL HOW lame am I, I am getting choked up just typing that, I am such a sap LOL but I am so excited for them.

Anyhow... My little man is sick :( we all had colds within the last 3 weeks and his has gone to not just ONE but TWO ears :( He's got an ear infection in both of this cute little ears :( I took him to Urgent Care today after school and he got some medication so we'll start that tonight as soon as hunny gets home from picking it up :) 10 days and he should be better, But it just BROKE my heart to talk to him on the phone today and hear his sad little voice and NOT be able to hold him and love on him and tell him that it would be ok, I of course started to cry.

I hate it when the kids get sick, I feel helpless :(

Monday is our final exam 30% of our grade... all True/False then we are out on the floor on Tuesday for clinical....YIKES Just rocking and rolling on. I'll be glad to be done that is for sure!!!!

1 1/2 weeks to go and I'm still kicking butt. In highschool I was NEVER the "smart" one. But I am now and it's giving me a little ego boost ;) We took our test for yesterday and out of 11 people only 2 didn't have to re-take it. ME and the only guy in our class. We had a vocab test on monday over 282 terms....only 42 of those were on the test...I got 100%. CRAZY! I am amazed at what I can do these days. The good Lord above is making sure that I get through this I just know it! We are ending up this week here in 2 days and we will have a final and then start clinicls on monday. YIKES.

We got dementia training yesterday (the agency that I am going has the only dementia ward here in town) and it sounds like it's going to be very interesting to work with those people. I am very interested in it!

I went and got my first 2 pairs of scrubs and a pair of shoes. I wore the shoes yesterday to break em' in a little bit and washed my scrubs, I don't want to look TOOO green out on the floor ;)

I am in the process of making a new kit called "Tuscany" It's turning out great :) Look for a freebie coming soon ;)

Some people shouldn't have kids a perfect example is this Mother, Stephfather and Grandmother.

Six inches taller and twice the weight she was when she escaped the confines of her family's Como Street apartment nearly a year ago, a Carson City girl asked a judge Wednesday to lock her grandmother up until she was 85 years old.

"Because of you, instead of driving a car, going out on dates, looking and feeling like a regular teenager, I am now a 17-year-old in fourth grade, learning what I should have learned a long time ago," the 98-pound Jasmine said breathlessly but unflinchingly to her grandmother Esther Rios, 57. "I am 4 feet, 6 inches tall. I still can't walk or run right. My teeth are badly damaged. I need glasses now. I really don't know who I am or where I belong because of you."

The judge didn't let Jasmine down. For two counts of child abuse and two counts of false imprisonment, Esther Rios, 57, will be in prison until she is at least 85. The ringleader of the five years of unbelievable abuse against Jasmine and David will likely die in prison. The judge gave her a maximum of 70 years.

"Ms. Rios, I think you're the reason why we are all here. I have no idea why you'd treat your grandchildren like you did. What happened to these kids is absolutely grotesque," said District Court Judge Bill Maddox. In his decision he rejected the defense argument that Rios and her daughter Regina were trying to protect Jasmine from an eating disorder. "I'm not sending any mixed messages here. I want to make it real clear that we have to protect our children."

Jasmine, her brother David and two healthy siblings testified along with three doctors during the day-long sentencing hearing for Esther Rios, Regina Rios and Regina's husband, Tomas Granados.

Though the prosecution offered Regina Rios and Granados pleas to lesser charges, the judge's sentences didn't reflect any additional mercy. They, too, received the maximum.Regina Rios received up to 55 years in prison on two counts of permitting child abuse and one count of false imprisonment. Granados received up to 35 years on one count of permitting child abuse and one count of false imprisonment.

On Jan. 19, deputies found Jasmine weighing just 41 pounds and pushing a shopping cart of food three blocks from her home. When questioned, she told officers she'd escaped from the bathroom and that she and her brother had been locked there by their grandmother for the past five years where they were beaten and starved. When police went to the apartment, they found 11-year-old David, weighing 31 pounds, hiding under a bed. His toes were frostbitten and his legs and feet deformed from living in the cramped quarters of the master bedroom bathroom. A pediatrician said the children's bodies were reminiscent of the victims of Nazi death camps. Officers also found three other healthy children in the home.

On Wednesday, looking like a 7-year-old, a now 12-year-old David was dressed smartly in a suit and tie, with glasses resting on his nose. He took the stand for the first time and spoke directly to his mother and grandmother.

"Grandmother, why did you lock me up? Why did you beat me and my sister and make (another sister) bust open my head? You didn't feed me for three days. You were mean to me and my sister," the 4-foot-tall boy said as he glared at Esther Rios. "I should be in sixth grade, but I'm in third because you wouldn't let me go to school. I'm short because you wouldn't feed me. I can never see Mommy again because of what you did."

Nearly a year later, David has gained 14 pounds and is able to walk. A speech impediment, making his speech hard to decipher 316 days ago, was barely noticeable after months of therapy. "Mommy, I miss you. Why didn't you let us out? Why did you listen to Grandmother?" The boy sobbed as he looked at his weeping mother, Regina Rios, 34. "I forgive you for everything, but I can't trust you anymore."

His emotion was contagious. Maddox was seen wiping his eyes, as was the court reporter. "Do you have anything to say to Tomas Granados?" Chief Deputy District Attorney Anne Langer asked David."Yes," the boy said staring angrily at his stepfather. "You're ugly."

David's 18-year-old brother, whom the judge said could not be named, read a statement in which he talked of the family's fear of being separated and how now a year later he can see how bad it was.

"I thank my sister, the only one who broke out of the fear and became the hero of our family," he said. "My mother, grandmother and stepfather were good people who each had their own problems. They were good people who made a very stupid and bad decision."

Regina Rios read from a three-page statement.

"I am so very sorry, with all my heart for the pain I have caused. Even though my children continue to love me as always, I want them to know I was wrong. God gave me my children to protect, and I have failed," she said. She went on to speak of not being able to stand up to her mother, whom she called an abuser. "Even though I am incarcerated, I am the freest I have ever been. I can finally get help and answers to my questions of why I was not brave enough to do what my most precious, most bravest daughter did - get help and free us all from the lies."

Rios also apologized to Granados."I'm sorry to my dear husband, who only ever tried to love us," she said.Granados spoke briefly, saying he was sorry for not being a better stepfather

I know that I should have been more involved," he said.Esther Rios continued to deny any abuse and said she regretted the decision to lock up the children."I didn't have the enough courage to go and seek outside help," she said

Jasmine's and David's foster mother, who asked to not be identified, also testified to the progress the children have made with the help of a new family and a battalion of doctors and therapists.

"At age 12, David celebrated his birthday for the first time. Jasmine celebrated her first birthday at the age of 17," the woman said. "They had been held in captivity for so long that they had no concept of the outside world. Neither remembered seeing a butterfly before, and were concerned it might bite. The moon and the stars were also amazing to them. In the nine months we have had them, they have learned to swim, ride bikes, and go to different schools without anxiety."

The foster mother also spoke of the abuse the healthy children in the home had to endure as well."Thought must also be given to the three siblings. The adults in the family taught them to lie and show no pity or mercy. They learned it was acceptable to brutalize another human being and that their brother and sister were subhuman."

In closing, District Attorney Noel Waters pointed to the progress of the children in their foster home, as proof of the abuse they endured."It just shows the miracle of what a little love can do," he said.

I feel myself holding my kids just a little longer and tighter, hugging them more. I thank God for that little girls courage. It really makes me sad, mad, horrified that something like this happends ALL the time and in this case, just down the road from me.

The weather has turned cold and we have a winter snow warning for today here. Winter has made it here. Around the corner is Christmas, better get our shopping done.

Orientation went well yesterday, it was a full house in the class room, we'll see how many of them show up for mondays 1st day of class. YIKES monday is 1st day of class. I am scared. After orientation was over I went up to the teacher and did what I was supposed to do and mention the add that I responded to to get my free book. I got the book in hand and I am going to take the rest of this week to crack it open and take a look see at what is inside.

This class is 6 months worth of stuff cramed into 3 weeks. There is a test everyday! That freaked me out when I heard that but, I'll have to just study my butt off. I just pray that Heavenly Father has mercy on me and will help me through this. If I get this job it will be because of him!

We will graduate on the 22nd of the month and from there be hired on asap so no job hunting or anything so that makes it nice. I have to put in 6 months with the nursing home then I can leave if I choose to do so. With this I am making being a CNA a stepping stone to becoming a nurse. I have made my mind up and I am going to become a Ped. Nurse. It will take time and probably a lot of it at that, but that is what I will be doing with my life God willing.

The only really stressful part of this all is that class is at 7 am that means I have to get the kids to Lori's house (private daycare) at 6:30am at the latest. When I talked to her about this about 4 weeks ago I got the impression that it would be fine. Well come to find out that yesterday when reality hit and I reminded her that the kids would be there at the bright and early time of 6:30 AM her face turned white. I HATE this feeling, she said that it will be ok and that we would work something out. She gets up early in the morning to go work out at Curves (6am) I just dont know, she then tells me that makes for a long day for her from 6:30-6:30 but I was thinking well, that's not 12 hrs with my kids so that part of it doesn't bother me it's just that she had to tell me that, It just makes me feel bad.

I LOVE this lady and if she wasnt there for me I'd be screwed in NOT a good way at all! I am so thankful for her and EVERYTHING that she does for me and the kids. The kids LOVE her, and I feel 100% safe leaving my kids with her. I do not want to lose her that is for sure. We can't offer her anymore money, we would if we could.

I WISH I had family closer.

ANYWAYS...I am sure that no one has read this so I'll stop venting/writing/typing now... I am sure I'll blog again soon.

Is orientation for my CNA classes that start on Dec 4th! I am nervious and excited. I am ready to get out of this house and work again. I pray that I can do well in these classes. I am a test freaker-outer (not a word I know) and I don't want to freeze come test time.

We had a good Thanksgiving, we went to Rob's parents house in California. It was nice to get away and nice to come back. The kids had a blast, Emma got to be a real life cowgirl, she was pretty excited about that and hasnt stoped talking about it.

A mother took her daughter to the doctor and asked him to give her an examination to determine the cause of her daughter's swollen abdomen. It only took the doctor about 2 seconds to say "Gimmee a break lady! Your daughter is pregnant." The mother turned red with fury and she argued with the doctor that her daughter was a good girl and would never compromise her reputation by having sex with a boy. The doctor faced the window and silently watched the horizon. The mother became enraged an screamed, "Quit looking out the window! Aren't you paying attention to me?" "Yes, of course I am paying attention ma'am. It's just that the last time this happened, a star appeared in the east, and three wise men came. I was hoping they would show up again and help me figure out who got your daughter pregnant."

I am so ready for my CNA classes to start on Dec 4th. I am getting really sick and tired of listening to the kids fight and fight and fight. We are out growing our place and getting a home cannot come soon enough...I hope that day comes sooner than later. These guys need a play area as well as a place to run around. In ways I wish that we would have waited a lot longer to start a family. Why is it that I let my feelings run me at times. I wanted kids before the house and now I wish we would have had the house first.

They now jump off of their dressers onto their matresses that they have taken off of their beds. Very safe yeah! NOT I am getting sick of getting after them for doing that it really drives me insane.

They will be going back to Lori's house while I am in school so that will be a VERY nice thing for them and me. I really cannot wait!

Sometimes people just frustrate me to no end. We sold a clock raido on e-bay and they paid, I cleaned it up made sure it was perfect, I packaged it VERY nicely, we sent it, they got it, then messaged us and said that they were unhappy with the way it was packaged, it was very dirty, and there were a ton of scratches on top of it and wanted their money back. WHAT THE HECK!!!!!!!!!!

That just pisses me off. My husband being the nice man that he is, has refunded the money and told the moron to keep the stupid raido, as that is the reason we sold it, WE DONT WANT IT. What a jerk!

CNA classes cannot come fast enough, I need to get out of this house and the kids need to get out as well and go back to the sitters house. I am so thankful that we have such an awesome lady to watch Ryan and Emma. I can't wait for them to go back!

I came across this Blog today and it touches my life in a deep way.

When I was 3 years old my older brother Mark was diagnosed with Leukimia. I was tested at the young age of 3 to see if my bone marrow would be a match for my brother, and I was a perfect match. In the hospital I went, they took what they needed and gave it to my brother. He recovered from the Leukimia but durning his recovery he came down with pneumonia and passed away from that.

It has been my life long dream to get in and get on the bone marrow doner list and this just gives me the kick in the butt to get in there and get on it!

“Crap Sandwich” written by another mom whos daughterKendrie is fighting ALL also

Imagine every year for Thanksgiving that you and your family go to a wonderful all-you-can-eat buffet. The food is always great and you look forward to getting the same delicious meal, year after year. So this year, you give your standard order to the waitress: an appetizer of “love”, a “caring” salad, the side dishes, “thoughtfulness” “compassion” and “laughter” and a big, juicy entrée of “good health and happiness for everyone”.

The waitress brings you everything you asked for but the entrée. Instead, in front of you on the table, she places a big, fat crap sandwich. And the conversation goes a little something like this:

You: “excuse me, I didn’t order this crap sandwich”

Waitress: “house special. You got it without asking”

You: “but I don’t want a crap sandwich. I want good health and happiness for everyone.”

Waitress: “well, you got a crap sandwich.”

You (getting upset) “well take it back and give me what I asked for instead!”

Waitress points to a sign that says “Absolutely NO substitutions”

You say adamantly: “there is positively no way I am going to be able to choke down this crap sandwich and I think it’s really unfair for you to expect me to”

And the waitress replies “hey, look. You’ve still got love, caring, thoughtfulness, compassion and laughter, so try to appreciate those. Oh, I almost forgot, here’s your condiment tray for the crap sandwich.

You also get big overflowing bowls of fear, worry, anger, guilt and resentment. Bon Appetit!”

And so you’re looking around the restaurant, feeling really grumpy about your crap sandwich, and you realize that there are a lot more people with crap sandwiches than you ever thought possible. And she explains that those people are facing situations even worse than yours. Their kids haven’t responded well to treatment, have had cancer relapses, or worse yet, died. And you start to think maybe your crap sandwich isn’t so bad after all. Maybe you should keep your big mouth shut, choke it down, and be glad when it’s all gone and everyone is well again.

And then, right then, your waitress reminds you of one last thing:

“Management reserves the right to serve you another, bigger crap sandwich, anytime they want”.

Journaling:

In 1995 you were diagnosed with testicular cancer, you were only 25 years old. You underwent the necessary surgery, back to work in a week. You had to go back in though to get the 2nd part of your surgery, where they cut you from sternum to pelvis to make sure that they had removed all of the lymph nodes. It was a very long 8 weeks in the hospital to recover from that but you came out of it because of the fighter that you are. In 1999 you were diagnosed with melanoma on your for arm. Again, you went through the necessary surgery to get it taken care of.

So not only are you a 11 year cancer SURVIVOR but you are also a 7 year cancer SURVIVOR.

You have been through a lot in your life and you are a SURVIVOR.

You are MY SURVIVOR.

I went to bed with a headache and I woke up with the same heachache :( I think that part of my headache is coming from the fact that I can't get my FPT to work for me.

I have to go to court again today (last time it was continued) for that moron that almost killed us. Half of me doesn't want to go because I just don't want to, the other half just wants to get it over with. lol

Well, I am off to scrap an awesome page of my hero of a husband. I'll show you when I am all done :)

Today was a total FAT day :( I tryed on like 15 outfits thismorning before I found the one that looked OK enough to wear to church and It's that time of the month so of course my face looks like the pepperoni pizza they have on sale at the local pizza shop. After church I told Rob that he had to sit through a photo shoot so that I could get a picture of us for our Christmas card this year, He looks HOT in them, but since it wasn't 'MY' day I am not sure what I think of myself in it. The only thing that I can keep doing is my workout.

Ok enough of that just had to vent a bit :)

Well, today is the big court day. LOL that is if I even have to go. I'll call at 2 to make sure that it's still going on and as long as it is I will be going. I havent done this in a while so I'm a little scared, but it will be ok. :)

Interview at the bank went OK, I hate to walk out of an interview and not feel confident lol. This has only happend at the 2 interviews that I have had with banks. It just must be the banks. ?? :)

I had another interview yesterday at a pawn shop, that one went WELL, I really hope that I get something soon :)

I also turned in my application for CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) classes, So, I'll be hearing about that soon too :)
